Hola!
Did you hear the exciting news?!
J.K. Rowling has written new material about our favorite wizarding trio! All this month, Pottermore.com has been popping with new material from Jo.
Every four years the Quidditch World Cup invades the wizarding world, and this year's games were commentated by Rita Skeeter and Ginny Weas-- I mean, Potter, via the Daily Prophet. But aside from reading about Japan's inhalation of USA, we got something even more exciting. Rita Skeeter took to her Gossip Column to announce the arrival of Dumbledore's Army to the World Cup final. She gave us the inside scoop on all things The Boy Who Lived.
Wait, what?!
That's right. Dumbledore's Army has reunited to take down the Brailizan Quidditch team, and see Bulgaria to victory. After seven years since the release of Deathly Hallows, Queen Rowling has graced us with new information on our favorite literary characters! Collectively as a fandom, I think we have all been waiting for new information about Harry Potter's adult life, and we have finally got it!
Here's what we learned
- Harry Potter is defintely a hot dad... A silver fox... The George Clooney of the wizarding world.
- Ron quit his job at the Ministry to help George co-run Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes.
- Neville is a popular teacher at Hogwarts... Yay Neville!
- Teddy has multicolored hair like his mother.
- Luna has twins... Could you imagine her with anything but?
- Charley is still not married... I'm sure Molly is furious.
- Percy has the crap job at the Ministry... I'm sure he gets lot of Howlers.
- Dumbldore's Army members are true celebrities... Special security measures where taken... But that was probably just to keep Rita Skeeter out.
- Victor Krum was determined to win the World Cup before he retired... And he did!
- Neville and his wife lived above the Leaky Cauldron... And enjoy their Firewhiskey a little too much.
- Ronald is not a hot dad.
- And Rita Skeeter is just as vile as ever.
That's a lot to take in. But what I found most intriguing is the cryptic ending.
Harry Potter and his cohorts never claimed to be perfect! And for those who want to know exactly how imperfect they are, my new biography: Dumbledore's Army: The Dark Side of the Demob will be available from Flourish and Blotts on July 31st.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?! Is Jo going to surprise us with a new story about our favorite trio? Are we about to explore the adult life of Harry and his friends?! I mean that is Harry Potter's birthday. AND it has been seven years since Deathly Hallows was released... and we all know seven is the most magical number!
But honestly, if Jo is about to give us an all-new story, I may just die. How amazing would it be to finally get real information on the trio post-Voldemort and no longer have to speculate? Simply wonderful!
