Emmy Nominations (2014)

Posted on 11:15 by smith
Welcome Back!

Well, it has been a while since I've done a proper post. Shame on me! But alas, I am back and ready to throw some Sherlock confetti in your face!

The 66th Annual Emmy nominations were announced this morning, and honestly, I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Now, I don't usually pay too much attention to the Emmy's because I don't usually watch too many of the shows nominated. I'm more of the movie's award show gal... But, I actually have seen a large majority of the shows nominated this year... Which is pretty impressive for me. 12, that's right count 'em, 12 nominations went to our favorite detective, Sherlock Holmes, and his sidekick, Martin Freeman, is a double nominee (Woot woot!). Lots of British love on that list!

 Outstanding Drama Series
Breaking Bad
Downton Abbey
Game of Thrones
House of Cards
Mad Men
True Detective

Frontrunner: Breaking Bad. It's the shows final season, so it's bound to clean up.
My Pick: Breaking Bad. It was a really good final season.

Outstanding Comedy Series
The Big Bang Theory
Louie
Modern Family
Orange is the New Black
Silicon Valley
Veep

Frontrunner: Orange is the New Black
My Pick: Orange is the New Black. It's honestly the only show I've seen in this category... But, Louie is on my watch list.

My Pick: The Norm.... Nah, just kidding. Sherlock, of course!!
