Hello Everyone!
After a very long and tiring weekend, our last day in the city was a little more relaxed. And what is more relaxing than window shopping on 5th Avenue?
Next, we went downtown to Staten Island to take the ferry across to New Jersey. The Staten Island Ferry is a free service, and gives some of the best views of the city. A woman on the boat put it perfectly as we were approaching the city, "it's hard to imagine that that small of a place houses so much life."
Finally, we arrive at the thing I was probably most excited for! Seeing Les Miserables on Broadway! I am a huge fan of Les Mis! Being my dad's favorite musical, I grew up listening to the music and watching the live performance for PBS on repeat.
I must say I was absolutely blown away with this production. Everything about it was impeccable! From the cast to the set to the orchestra to the lighting, this show checked all the boxes. It has been a long time since I have seen a production of this caliber, and it left me with my jaw on the floor. It was absolutely breathing-taking! I honestly could not have been more impressed with everything about this production. If you are looking for a true theatrical, Broadway experience, Les Miserables is the show for you.
